[Electronic patient-reported outcomes and the nursing role in clinical practice]

The article demonstrates the positive impact of Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs) as well as electronically reported outcomes (ePROs) in clinical practice. It highlights how PROs, particularly ePROs, allow for personalized care by enabling increased monitoring of patients' symptoms and health status. The adoption of these tools shows significant benefits by enabling rapid and early interventions, better patient self-management and improvements in care processes. This article also emphasizes the nursing role in the successful integration of ePROMs, from data collection and interpretation to care coordination and supporting patients in using these digital advancements.
