This study shows that HArmonyCa™ filler provides immediate facial lifting and progressive tissue displacement, effectively reducing skin sagging and improving facial volume over 90 days.
Area of Science:
- Aesthetic medicine and dermatology
- Facial rejuvenation techniques
- Injectable fillers
Background:
- Aging significantly impacts facial aesthetics and self-esteem.
- There is a growing demand for effective anti-aging facial treatments.
- Research is actively exploring novel solutions to mitigate facial aging effects.
Purpose of the Study:
- To evaluate the three-dimensional volume gain and facial lifting effects of HArmonyCa™ filler.
- To assess the efficacy of HArmonyCa™ in facial rejuvenation.
- To quantify changes in facial volume and tissue displacement post-injection.
Main Methods:
- Eight female patients (mean age 47) received 1.25 ml of HArmonyCa™ bilaterally.
- Injections were administered into the subcutaneous layer, posterior to facial retaining ligaments.
- Facial scanning software (Vectra™ H2) analyzed results pre-procedure and at 30, and 90 days post-procedure.
Main Results:
- Significant volume increase observed in temple and pre-jowl regions at all post-procedure times (P < 0.002).
- Zygomatic arch and mandibular branch regions showed increased volume immediately and at 90 days (P < 0.016).
- Vector analysis revealed significant tissue displacement, particularly in the mid-face, with greatest displacement indicated by red arrows (P < 0.0001).
Conclusions:
- HArmonyCa™ hybrid injectable demonstrates an immediate lifting effect.
- Progressive tissue displacement was observed, leading to reduced skin sagging.
- The filler effectively contributes to facial rejuvenation and volume restoration.

Effects of EDTA on End-Point Detection Methods
In the visual method, metal-ion indicators (metallochromic dyes), which have distinct colors in their free and complex forms, are added to the mixture to signal the titration's end point. They form stable complexes with metal ions, but these complexes are weaker than the corresponding metal–EDTA complexes. As a result, EDTA...

Pulmonary Angiogram
A Pulmonary Angiogram is an invasive procedure involving injecting a contrast medium through a catheter threaded into the pulmonary artery or the right side of the heart to visualize the pulmonary vasculature. Computed Tomography (CT) scans have mainly replaced this...
