Summary

Radiation-induced skin injury (RISI) involves macrophage dysfunction. This study reveals that TREM2 (triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2) protects macrophages via the ROS-NRF2-ADAM17-ERK pathway, offering new therapeutic targets for RISI.
