Summary

Glymphatic function, measured by the diffusion tensor imaging analysis along the perivascular space (DTI-ALPS) index, is impaired in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) patients. Lower ALPS index correlates with worse upper limb motor function and increased stroke severity, suggesting it as a potential biomarker.
