Summary
Transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement (TTVR) using the EVOQUE valve is feasible and safe for heart transplant recipients with severe tricuspid regurgitation (TR). This innovative therapy offers a new option for high-risk patients with limited treatment choices.
Area of Science:
- Cardiology
- Interventional Cardiology
- Cardiac Surgery
Background:
- Transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement (TTVR) is an emerging treatment for severe tricuspid regurgitation (TR), particularly in patients with high surgical risk.
- Orthotopic heart transplant recipients are a high-risk group often excluded from surgical options and clinical trials for TR.
