Summary

Photon-counting detector computed tomography (PCD-CT) surpasses cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) in visualizing mandibular and dental anatomy at comparable radiation doses. PCD-CT offers improved image quality and reduced artifacts, making it a superior choice for dentomaxillofacial imaging.
