Background:
Skin laxity is a frequent cosmetic concern, requiring energy-based interventions to address structural changes in the dermis. High-intensity ultrasound technology has emerged as a noninvasive modality to promote fibroblastic stimulation and collagen remodeling.
Objective:
To evaluate the effectiveness, safety, and patient satisfaction associated with high-intensity ultrasound for skin laxity through the use of standardized photography and a patient questionnaire.
Methods:
A retrospective chart review was performed on patients aged 35 to 80 years who had received at least 1 treatment 3 months prior. Eligible patients had photographs taken and completed the Satisfaction and Subjective Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale. The Physician Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale was evaluated comparing baseline and follow-up photographs.
Results:
25 subjects met inclusion criteria. Average subject-report satisfaction was 3.5 (scale of 1-5). The Subjective Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale was an average of 1.12 (scale -2 to 2). 72% of patients reported being "improved" and 20% reported as "much improved." The Physician Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale score mean was 0.96 (scale -2 to 2), with 56% of patients (n = 14) being rated as "improved" and 20% (n = 5) as "much improved."
Conclusion:
High-intensity ultrasound treatment is a safe and effective option for improving facial skin laxity with high patient satisfaction and minimal side effects.

Ultrasound I: Abdominal Ultrasonography
Abdominal ultrasonography, commonly known as abdominal ultrasound, is a vital, non-invasive medical imaging technique widely used in healthcare.
Procedure:
This diagnostic tool allows the clinician to visually inspect internal structures within the abdomen, including vital organs such as the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, and spleen.
The abdominal ultrasound process begins with applying a special gel to the patient's skin over the abdomen. This gel enhances the...
