Ergothioneine Depletion in Peritoneal Dialysis

Dialysis patients have lower levels of the antioxidant ergothioneine. Peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients showed less depletion than hemodialysis (HD) patients, suggesting PD removes less ergothioneine.
