Summary

Minimally invasive pulmonary thromboendarterectomy using a J-shaped upper hemisternotomy is a safe and effective alternative to full sternotomy for chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension. This approach offers comparable outcomes with improved cosmetic results for selected patients.
