Application of a strong THz field to a bulk material leads to symmetry reduction of a system providing opportunities for generation of even order harmonics in centrosymmetric medium. In this work, we observe that a strong co-propagating THz pulse is capable to promote not only even harmonic generation but also modulation of high order odd harmonics of mid-infrared ultrafast driver in cadmium sulfide crystal. We use a semiclassical approach to elucidate the origin of this manipulation and show that THz pulse effectively modify intraband current enabling the change of the harmonic yields. Our results show that application of the THz field is an efficient method for controlling non-perturbative light-matter interactions.
