Summary

Dry eye with autoimmune features (DEAF) patients show distinct clinical and serological markers, potentially indicating a pre-stage of Sjögren's disease or other autoimmune conditions. Early identification of DEAF may improve diagnosis and treatment for connective tissue diseases.
