Optimum Torque Reverse (OTR) motion increases the risk of separating instruments during root canal retreatment compared to continuous rotational motion (CRM) and reciprocating motion (RM). However, no significant differences were found in debris extrusion or residual material removal effectiveness among the tested motions.
