Abstract:
The use of digital technologies in maxillofacial prosthetics has increased significantly to address the problems associated with conventional fabrication methodologies. Implementing a fully digital workflow for an implant-retained auricular prosthesis for partial ear loss, including computer-aided treatment planning, mold design, and 3-piece mold printing, is challenging because of the ear's 3-dimensional orientation in relation to the skull. This technique encompasses the prosthetically driven integration of a fully digital workflow for designing and printing a 3-piece mold for a partial ear, allowing digital data analysis and preservation.
