Abstract:
A synthetic method for the assembly of dihydrofuran-fused tropane-containing polycycles that relies on rhodium(I)-catalyzed 6-exo-dig cycloaddition/internal redox (IR)/azomethine ylide formation/dearomative [3 + 2] cycloaddition of furan-tethered o-alkynylphenyl nitrones has been developed.
