Abstract:
Therapeutic outings are unique forms of care that take place outside the walls of the institution. Based on a clinical vignette, this article explores their psychological effects on adolescents. By mobilizing cultural spaces and third-party mediators, they offer a group setting that is temporary and transitional, conducive to subjectivation, surprise, and shared pleasure. They also allow family experiences to be revisited through a group confronted with otherness outside the institution.
