Abstract:
Highland barley (HB), a distinctive crop of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, contains starch as its major nutrient component. Fertilization, a key agronomic intervention, affects both yield and quality. This study comprehensively evaluated how four fertilization regimes alter the structure and functional characteristics of highland barley starch (HBS). The results showed that fertilization significantly reduced amylose content, starch granule size, pasting temperature, light transmittance, and water solubility. Although all A-type starch samples exhibited an orthorhombic crystal structure, their relative crystallinity increased with fertilization, leading to enhanced starch stability and higher gelatinization enthalpy. Additionally, peak viscosity, trough viscosity, final viscosity, setback viscosity, swelling power, water and oil absorption capacity, and loss modulus (G'') all inreased significantly after fertilization. Principal component analysis and Pearson correlation analysis further confirmed that fertilization had a significant impact on the structural and physicochemical properties of HBS. These findings provide valuable insights for optimizing fertilization strategies in HB cultivation and for expanding the applications of HBS in the food industry and related sectors.

One important factor is the drug's molecular size. The kidneys readily excrete smaller molecules below 300 Daltons (Da). On the other hand, molecules weighing between 300 and 500 Da are excreted through both urine and bile. Larger molecules above 500 Da tend to be excreted...

Structure and Physical Properties of Alkynes
In nature, compounds containing both carbon and hydrogen are known as "hydrocarbons". Aliphatic hydrocarbons are compounds whose molecules contain saturated single bonds (i.e., alkanes) or unsaturated double or triple bonds. Alkenes contain carbon–carbon double bonds and have a structural formula CnH2n. Unsaturated hydrocarbons containing carbon–carbon triple bonds are called "alkynes" and are structurally represented by the formula CnH2n-2.
