Abstract:
This paper describes a dataset of measurements collected within the context of the ERIES-BOLT project. The dataset includes wind field characterization tests, aeroelastic tests and aerodynamic tests. The wind field characterization tests were divided into four setups to account for profile development of (1) ABL flows, (2) downburst-like outflows (DB), (3) simultaneous downburst-like outflow with prevailing ABL (DBABL), and (4) downburst-like outflows with radial trips profiles (TDB). The aeroelastic tests were performed on the models of two triangular telecommunication lattice towers of heights 50 m and 90 m built to a length scale of 1:100 under ABL, DB, and DBABL setups. The aeroelastic model of the T50 tower was also tested under TDB outflows. Finally, the aerodynamic tests were performed on the sectional model of the top part of the T50 tower at a length scale of 1:10. These tests were divided into three setups as follows: (1) bare structure with base plate, (2) bare structure with base and top plate and (3) structure equipped with ladder, railings, and antenna.
