Galanin Inhibits Histaminergic Neurons via Galanin Receptor 1.

Galanin inhibits wake-promoting histaminergic neurons via galanin receptor 1 (GALR1) and potassium channels, supporting its role in sleep regulation. This mechanism explains how galanin-expressing neurons promote sleep by silencing arousal pathways.
