Current Approaches in Periocular Rejuvenation: Our 6-year Experience

• 1923 patients underwent upper eyelid rejuvenation and 248 underwent lower eyelid rejuvenation.

• Transconjunctival fat debulking with skin pinch removal was the primary surgical method for lower eyelids (64%); HA injections were used for tear-trough and deep superior sulcus deformities, often in younger patients.

Conclusions:

• Ptosis surgery and transconjunctival fat debulking with skin pinch removal are common surgical approaches for upper and lower eyelids, respectively.
• Hyaluronic acid injections are effective for specific deformities like deep superior sulcus, offering a non-surgical alternative.
• Periocular fillers can be a valuable alternative or adjunct to lower eyelid blepharoplasty, particularly for volume restoration.
