Abstract:
Pediatric neuroradiology is enriched with distinctive imaging signs that serve as vital diagnostic clues across the spectrum of congenital, metabolic, infectious, and neoplastic conditions. These signs, which are often pathognomonic, serve as visual shortcuts that correlate with underlying anatomical or pathological changes. Recognizing specific radiological "signs" can greatly aid in the early diagnosis and management of various congenital brain disorders. In this pictorial review, we aim to familiarize young radiologists with key "signs" encountered in congenital brain disorders and enhance their pattern recognition and diagnostic confidence. We highlight these characteristic signs in pediatric neuroradiology through illustrative MRI and CT images.
