The extensive use of polyurethanes (PUs) has led to substantial waste accumulation and associated environmental concerns. Chemical depolymerization represents an efficient strategy to address this issue yet remains underexplored. This study introduces a catalytic depolymerization of polyurethanes into borylated N-methylamine derivatives using a La(CH2C6H4NMe2-o)3@SBA-15700/HBpin heterogeneous rare-earth metal catalyst system. This approach not only provides access to valuable N,N'-dimethyldiamine derivatives but also demonstrates good catalyst recyclability under mild conditions, offering a promising pathway for sustainable upcycling of PU waste.
