Tranexamic acid (TXA) did not significantly relieve sore throat pain from upper-respiratory infections in a clinical trial. This study found TXA was no more effective than a placebo for URTI-related sore throat discomfort.

- Further research may be needed to explore potential alternative treatments for URTI sore throat.
