Abstract:
We here disclose two borylphenyl-substituted aza[7]helicenes, in which two 2,6-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl groups were introduced on boron to enhance the charge transfer feature. Both molecules display circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) with high ΦF values in solutions (ΦF = 0.15-0.56), PMMA-doped film (ΦF = 0.99), and neat film (ΦF = 0.77-0.82). Moreover, they exhibit two-photon absorption (TPA) with δTPA reaching 329 GM for the quadrupolar derivative, representing one of the very rare examples with the integration of dual-state CPL and TPA properties.
