Sleep is an important component of overall health, especially in children and adolescents. Non-respiratory and behavioral sleep disorders can have a major impact on the health and quality of life of patients and their families. Health disparities exist globally, most negatively affecting those from minoritized communities, from rural communities, and those with low socioeconomic status or low health literacy.
