Abstract:
We demonstrate a strategy for p-type doping of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) by enhancing their autoxidation in air using lithium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide (Li:TFSI). The salt promotes oxygen-mediated electron withdrawal without acting as an oxidant itself. This approach produces air-stable, highly conductive CNTs without aggressive oxidants, offering a robust route for molecular electronics.
