Greater Auricular Nerve Blocks Resulted in Reduced Ear Pain and Noise Sensation

Abstract:
This case report demonstrates a patient with pain located around the posterior left auricular area and lateral upper neck, with "roaring" noise in the ear. The patient underwent a series of 4 ultrasound-guided greater auricular nerve blocks, which provided significant and lasting reduction of both pain and noise, highlighting the role of the greater auricular nerve in both otalgia and tinnitus and further supporting the use of greater auricular nerve blocks in the treatment of these symptoms.
