Summary
Intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) can cause ventricular capture, even with novel systems. While near R-on-T events occurred, the patient remained stable, suggesting a typically benign clinical course.
Area of Science:
- Cardiology
- Interventional Cardiology
- Medical Devices
Background:
- Ventricular myocardial capture is a known complication of intravascular lithotripsy (IVL).
- Limited data exists on newer IVL platforms regarding this phenomenon.
- This case explores ventricular capture with a novel IVL system.
