[A memory of patients, the city, and care in hospital architecture]

Abstract:
The architecture of a hospital bears witness to the medicine practiced there and the lives that unfold within its walls. Some patients are sensitive to the imprints left by people and the traces left by time. These remind them of memories from their past lives or reflect a history in which they can see themselves. They help to mitigate experiences of biographical disruption.
