Group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) are crucial for initiating adaptive immunity in the lungs. These cells license dendritic cells (DCs) to prime T helper 2 (TH2) cells, establishing antigen-specific immune memory and type 2 airway inflammation.
