Summary

Sub-Tenon anesthesia did not cause retinal microvascular changes in patients with diabetic maculopathy or retinal vein occlusion. Initial findings of reduced vessel density were attributed to optical coherence tomography angiography image artifacts, not hemodynamic effects.
