Does postoperative drainage influence early pain after total knee arthroplasty? A randomized comparative study

Routine postoperative drainage after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) does not improve early pain or reduce opioid use. Omitting drains is safe and effective with modern blood-saving techniques like tranexamic acid.
