Purpose:
This study compares the outcomes of traditional orthodontic treatments (fixed appliances) with advanced orthodontic techniques (clear aligners) in terms of efficacy, patient satisfaction, and treatment duration.
Methods:
A retrospective cohort study was conducted on 200 patients divided into two groups: traditional (Group A) and advanced (Group B) treatments. Data collection included clinical outcomes, patient-reported satisfaction surveys, and treatment timelines. Statistical analysis was performed using the Chi-square test and independent t tests.
Results:
Advanced orthodontic treatments showed a shorter mean treatment duration (18.2 months vs. 24.6 months, P < 0.05) and higher patient satisfaction scores (8.6/10 vs. 7.2/10, P < 0.05). Clinical outcomes, measured by alignment quality and occlusion, were comparable.
Conclusion:
Advanced orthodontic techniques provide faster treatment and higher patient satisfaction, with outcomes similar to traditional methods.
