This article reviews the evolution and current development of stent platforms for pediatric and congenital heart disease. It highlights limitations of off-label use of adult stents, the emergence of growth-compatible technologies such as the Renata Minima, and the promise and challenges of bioresorbable scaffolds. Emphasis is placed on engineering strategies-including , computational modeling, material biocompatibility, and patient-specific design-that are accelerating innovation in this field. The review synthesizes recent progress across multiple platforms and provides clinical insights into optimizing stent selection and future integration into pediatric interventional strategies.
