Abstract:
Medicinal plants used by ethnic minorities in China-those documented in Chinese medicinal plant knowledge systems and sustaining culturally unique healing traditions, yet systematically marginalized in global conservation agendas-face unprecedented threats. Using spatial phylogenetics and ethnobotanical surveys, we highlight how stewardship practices sustain medicinal plant diversity in biocultural refugia.
