Abstract:
Strontium tert-butoxide can be easily synthesized as a white solid with a long shelf life. Using strontium tert-butoxide as a catalyst, transesterification of various methyl esters with a range of alcohols proceeded smoothly in the absence of solvents with excellent yields.
