Abstract:
In this study, a nanocomposite based on MIP@ZrZnMOF@Fe₃O₄ has been synthesized and employed as a sorbent in magnetic solid phase extraction method performed in a narrow bore tube. The suggested method is used for the extraction of acetamiprid from commercial honey samples before its quantification with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. In this work, the sorbent particles (at mg-level) are added into diluted honey solution placed in a narrow bore tube. By doing so, the sorbent particles move down through the tube under gravity force and adsorb the analyte. In the subsequent, the sedimented particles are transferred to the top of the solution with the help of a magnet and released again to move down through the tube. This procedure is repeated for five times and after that the aqueous phase is discarded and the analyte adsorbed onto the sorbent particles is eluted with a mixture of water: acetonitrile: formic acid. Finally, the eluent is taken in the presence of a magnet and injected into the determination system. Under optimum extraction conditions, extraction recovery was 83%. In the present research, forty honey samples were analyzed using the developed method to determine their acetamiprid content in order to guaranty their safety.
