Abstract:
In this study, a three-dimensional ionic hydrogen-bonded organic framework (iHOF) material, iHOF-71, was successfully constructed from benzenesulfonate anions and protonated pyridinium cations. The material exhibits photochromic behavior based on a photogenerated radical mechanism. The 5%-iHOF-71@PVA composite membrane, obtained by doping with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), displays a 13 s cyan room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP). This study reveals the intrinsic connection between the two: the stable radicals generated during the photochromic process can effectively regulate the phosphorescence performance.
