Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To determine if a diagnosis of neurodevelopmental delay (NDD) correlates with delayed surgical management in patients undergoing orchiopexy.
  • To identify factors associated with delayed orchiopexy in children with congenital cryptorchidism.

Main Methods:

  • Retrospective cohort study of 149 patients under 18 years undergoing orchiopexy for congenital cryptorchidism (2016-2023).
  • Comparison of surgical timing, demographics, comorbidities, and complications between patients with and without NDD.
