Differing results from immunofixation electrophoresis (IFE) and capillary electrophoresis immunotyping (CE-IT) helped identify an infection-related oligoclonal process. This case study highlights how these complementary diagnostic methods prevent misdiagnosing monoclonal gammopathy.
