Abstract:
The inherently variable nature of febrile neutropenia contributes to inconsistent adherence to Infectious Diseases Society of America/American Society of Clinical Oncology guidelines. This survey collected information on how institutions treat febrile neutropenia. Study responses showed that institutions with internal treatment protocols also reported increased adherence to guidelines, which is an accessible intervention for most institutions to implement.
