Memantine as a pain management strategy post-total knee arthroplasty: a randomized controlled trial

Summary

Memantine did not significantly reduce pain after total knee arthroplasty (TKA). However, it did significantly decrease the need for opioid analgesia in TKA patients, suggesting a potential role in multimodal pain management.
