CURATERS Recommendations for Additional Imaging in Neuroradiology: A Value Proposition
Jeffrey P Guenette1, Nadja Kadom2
1From the Division of Neuroradiology and Center for Evidence-Based Imaging (J.P.G.), Mass General Brigham, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts.
Background:
The authors weighed opportunities for making recommendations for additional imaging (RAI) more valuable.
Methods:
Based on narrative literature review, the authors propose the acronym CURATERS (concise, understandable, relevant, actionable, timely, evidence-based, resource-conscious, and standardized) to highlight concepts that could make neuroradiology RAI more valuable.
Key Message:
We hope to encourage neuroradiologists to take a more thoughtful approach when issuing RAI, which could enhance value as perceived by our ordering providers.
