The impact of Pt particle size distribution on the HER pathway and performance

Abstract:
Pt nanoparticles with controlled size distribution were prepared using porous polydopamine spheres. The optimized Pt/CS-200 exhibits an overpotential of 17 mV at 10 mA cm-2, 200% higher mass activity than commercial Pt/C, and improved stability. The Tafel slope of 29.8 mV dec-1 indicates a Volmer-Tafel pathway.
