Sustainable, wearable planar MSCs for AC line filters and energy storage
Abstract:
Sustainable electronics are environmentally friendly. However, it is a crucial challenge to fabricate sustainable microsupercapacitors (MSCs) that can be integrated with wearable electronics with high fabrication precision. Herein, sustainable and wearable MSCs based on vegetable tanned leather (VTL) substrates were fabricated by direct laser writing (DLW) carbonization. The laser-treated areas showed good conductivity and a porous structure. The planar MSCs exhibited excellent AC filtering performance at 60 Hz and high areal-specific capacitance (4.08 mF/cm 2 at 5 mV/s). Moreover, various patterned MSCs, such as a tiger-patterned MSC, dragon-patterned MSC, and rabbit-patterned MSC were fabricated. Sustainable and wearable MSCs based on VTL substrates provide an innovative approach for developing sustainable and wearable electronics.
