- HIIT yielded greater improvements in muscle function, including respiratory pressure, quadriceps endurance, handgrip strength, and muscle fiber composition, compared to MICT.

- High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is superior to Moderate-Intensity Continuous Training (MICT) for specific functional capacity outcomes and muscle function improvements in COPD patients.
- HIIT presents a viable and effective alternative training modality for COPD rehabilitation, comparable to MICT in other functional measures.
- Further research is warranted to establish optimal HIIT protocols to maximize benefits for individuals with COPD.
