Abstract:
Technology within the context of integrated care can take many forms, including but not limited to electronic health records, telehealth platforms, mobile applications, web-based portals, wearable biosensors, digital therapeutics, and statistical and computational software. Technology is constantly evolving and thus applications of technology within integrated care are expansive and drive ongoing innovation. In this article, the author addresses the role of Families, Systems, & Health in advancing innovative technology in integrated care, briefly discusses the current state of the field, and identifies needs for future submissions to the journal.
