Abstract:
Traumatic dental injuries (TDIs) can significantly compromise oral health-related quality of life. In younger patients, luxation injuries are associated with a higher risk of pulp necrosis. This case report describes the multidisciplinary management of a 9-year-old patient who presented with a rotated and fractured permanent maxillary right central incisor exhibiting pulp necrosis after dental trauma. An initial attempt at regenerative endodontic treatment was unsuccessful, requiring apexification. Orthodontic treatment was performed to achieve maxillary expansion and rotational alignment of the affected tooth. Esthetic rehabilitation was completed using a digitally customized resin restoration guided by a 3D-printed template. Emerging technologies illustrate the multidisciplinary approach, involving pediatric dentistry, radiology and digital technology, optimizing clinical outcomes. This case highlights the challenges in managing TDIs due to the uncertainty of prognosis and the need for an integrated patient-centered care.
