Abstract:
Herein, we present an unprecedented ruthenium-catalyzed transylidation reaction between sulfides and iodonium ylides, enabling the synthesis of S,C-sulfonium ylides under mild conditions. This approach expands the scope of sulfonium ylide chemistry with broad substrate compatibility and good functional group tolerance. Additionally, scaled-up synthesis and transformation experiments further highlight its synthetic utility. It offers an efficient route to structurally diverse sulfonium ylides.
