Abstract:
Theranostics of thyroid cancer has advanced significantly in recent years and now offers a wide range of options through new radiopharmaceuticals in addition to the established ones. The sodium-iodine remains the main target for differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC). [18F]fluorodeoxyglucose PET/CT is the gold standard for imaging more aggressive subtypes. Theranostics using radiopharmaceuticals with affinity to somatostatin receptors has been included in some guidelines as an option.
