Summary

Chronic neuropathic pain after burns may involve central sensitization. Quantitative electroencephalograms (qEEGs), event-related potentials (ERPs), and neuropsychological tests can objectively assess brain changes, revealing a cortico-limbic disconnection with frontal hyperarousal.
